Anthology Senior Living’s response to COVID-19 / APRIL 28

April 28, 2020

To our residents, resident families, and team members:

As we all continue to navigate through this global pandemic and its impact, I am writing to you with more updates on the Anthology Senior Living communities and our health and safety measures that have been put into place. We are beginning to prepare for the process of gradually easing our precautionary measures as we closely follow the quickly developing updates regarding COVID-19 both around the country and in our communities.

As always, the health and wellbeing of our residents and team members remains our True North in all decisions that we make. Here are a few updates that we are beginning to consider as we move towards gradually easing precautionary measures in select communities.

  1. In-room quarantine   –  We are looking into relaxing some of our current quarantine protocols based on CDC guidelines, state recommendations and individual community scenarios.
  2. Personal protective equipment (PPE)   –  We continue to receive large shipments of PPE at both the communities and our central inventory to ensure the utmost safety for all of our residents and team members. PPE protocols will remain in-place.
  3. Admission ban  –  We are beginning to look at easing the restrictions on admissions at some of our communities, while implementing new admission protocols to ensure the health and safety of our current residents. Each of these decisions will be made closely on a case-by-case basis based on the overall health status of each community, surrounding cities, state health protocols and more.

We have also introduced several team member appreciation initiatives to show our communities how much we appreciate their work during these times. We will continue to closely monitor each community very closely and begin easing measures on a strict case-by-case basis to ensure the safety and health of our communities remains upheld.

In addition to the above policies and protocols, our resident’s mental health and engagement continue to be a top priority. Our Socially Distanced Engagement Plan remains in place, providing residents with daily mind, body and spirit activities that adhere to safe social distancing measures. The Amazon Echo Dot program continues to be a top success across many of our communities, providing residents access to news, weather, music and other general topics. As we adapt to this ongoing situation, we are working with team members and residents to come up with new ways to keep residents engaged and connected.

We understand that being unable to visit a loved one, especially during such an uncertain time, can be very difficult. Keeping residents and their families connected remains one of our key concerns, and we are continuing to explore new ways to do this. We encourage you to keep lines of communication open through phone, email, and video calls.

We will continue to post updates on our website at  www.anthologyseniorliving.com and through email to keep you informed. Should you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the community Executive Director or email our corporate team at information@anthologyseniorliving.com.

We want to take this time to acknowledge all of our Anthology team members for their continued dedication and commitment to high-quality care during this stressful and uncertain time, as well as our residents and family members who have entrusted their loved ones in our care. We are appreciative of all our residents, family members and team members for working with us through this challenging time.

Sincerely,
Benjamin Burke signature Anthology Senior Living
