Memory Care At Anthology Senior Living

For many seniors with dementia, there comes a time when assisted living is no longer a safe or feasible option. Senior living communities that offer memory care are often the best next step to provide seniors a better quality of life.

Memory care is specialized care for older adults living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Communities with a memory care center feature safe and secure environments where specially trained staff can closely monitor the health of the residents. You’ll also find programs, activities and events that are designed to help memory care residents work on their cognitive abilities, while also getting to enjoy interests and hobbies.

Studies have shown moving those with Alzheimer’s or dementia into memory care communities during early stages results in better outcomes for them – mentally, physically and emotionally.

With all the accommodations, services and experiences seniors need, communities like ours provide a nurturing environment – and with all of the comforts and ambiance of a home.

Innovative Wellness Programs
Anthology communities are built around six dimensions of wellness — physical, emotional, social, intellectual, spiritual and environmental — that promote independence. These are especially important in the care we provide to our memory care residents. Daily programming is built around each resident, offering flexible schedules and activities designed to instill meaning, assurance and purpose. Physical and mental fitness programs as well as community-focused activities keep your loved one active and empowered to make the most of each day.

Our communities use Fit Minds cognitive programs to help residents increase their self-confidence, social engagement and mental acuity. We also offer iN2L programming, a computer software that includes interactive multimedia and cognitive-based games and adaptive devices that keep seniors active, connected and engaged. iN2L addresses the need for individualized, accessible engagement that enhances cognitive function, socialization and quality of life. Anthology communities also use a technology called Sagely, an app that assists engagement programs by saving time and increasing meaningful connections.

For family and loved ones, Sagely provides an easy way to check on and receive notifications about their loved one’s engagement and learn about events happening within the community. Our team members can even send photos of a resident enjoying an activity to their family.

On the community side, Sagely helps us tailor resident experiences and evaluate our programs. We use the power of data, insights and automation to help our team members collaborate, communicate and stay organized, as well as deeply understand our residents and engage them in more active lives.

Nurturing Neighborhoods
Our Virtue Memory Care Neighborhood are designed to help your loved one thrive in mind, body and spirit. Curated artwork features local landmarks and nostalgic images to evoke feelings of home. Memory displays outside each personal suite feature personal photos and mementos to provide familiarity. Even the dining experience is designed for familiarity by featuring favorite foods served with an appealing flair.

Enhanced Safety
Our neighborhoods offer specialized outdoor spaces that empower loved ones to connect with and enjoy nature. We use enhanced security measures, including key-padded access, to accommodate the evolving cognitive and physical capabilities of our residents, ensuring that they maintain as much independence as possible while still remaining protected within our neighborhood.
